    ricoh 551- gest 3355

    sc 495 problems.
    auger system is working and clean, sensor is new, pump motor works, vsp is within range with new sensor, new dv with rebuilt unit, new drum though it does have wear prematurely. have run machine in both auto sensor and oixel mode with no change

    If the drum wears prematurely there might be a problem with the actual drive system of the drum, i.e. something in the PCU slows the drum down and the sensor on the waste detects the abnormal load as the actuator not turning correctly. Got a spare PCU you can try in it?

      There was a mod put out on that sensor assy. Are you sure it's on there?

        it was a new in box sensor. i have no knowledge of a mod. do you know what it was or have any info on the mod

          Could be a worn pump or belt or pully that drives the pump. It may also be a stopped up tube that runs from the pump over the top of the DV unit. I have had to slam these on the sidewalk to break up the toner inside.
