4502 bypass pico fuse with push switch

We have a 4502 in the field, it has an error 544 hard high temp. Replaced sleeve and thermistor, installed pico fuse but the machine won't reset after manual sp codes were done. Replace ICU board = no help, replaced IO board = No help. We inherited the service of this machine; the client got it used but running. It was interesting that when we pulled the fuser out, it had NO PICO fuse. The machine has 700k on the meter, we have serviced it since 500k. As we are not an authorized Ricoh dealer, we miss a lot of updates. I have read about some techs bypassing the pico and I am now wondering if this machine was bypassed and that's why the new fuse is not working. how would you guys bypass it? any ideas about why it won't reset?

After you've serviced the fuser unit and replaced necessary parts try and Google how to reset your machine. You should find something on YouTube

There is no fuse in the inital fusing unit and tech probably doesn't install them if they replace the sleeve unit unless there was a fuser SC code that requires the fuse.
Did you check the inside of the connectors on both the fuser and inside the machine - I recall several cases on wich the customer managed to overlooked a jammed paper in that area and while moving the fuser back the paper got punched between the connectors. Most users managed to remove the obvios paper-pieces so you can't see that something is stuck inbside the connector.

Ya, we did check for blockage. Didn't know that they did not have a fuse when new. This machine was in a high production run when it failed, figured it just overheated a bit and on inspection did find the sleeve pretty worn so we changed it and the outer thermistor, my tech informed me that on the first reset he might have swapped the thermistor and fuse connectors, when I checked the thermistor, it was open, so I had him change it. Getting costly for us, thankfully the customer has a couple of other machines to pick up the load temporarily.

You don't have to attached a push switch, it's just slightly more convenient.
I've made these for every model I deal with, you just need the proper connector.
There's only about 4 different ones so far that I know of
