    Leaky toner hoppers

    Hello to all.
I'm new to this forum. Looking forward to what I consider a better knowledge base than manufacturer hot lines.

My company has noticed failures in toner hoppers on the Savin 3515/816 series machines for a long time. It is also noticeable on 2522/4022's as well.

Toner seems to pour out from the chuck seal and dump into the machine.

We tried cleaning and re-seating the seals, but that just buys a little time.

This seems to happen at any interval of time. We have seen it on new machines with less than 3K up to older machines with 120k.

The only true fix is to replace the toner hoppers altogether. This gets costly over time.

What have you been doing to remedy this?

Thanks to all who contribute a thought!!!

Replacing the entire hopper is the only long term fix I've seen. It's a drain on parts cost, but replacing the whole unit is good for on site time.
the savin2535 is displaying well bet the hiter lamp is not shining and the lamp had been tested o.k.please kindly help.
Samir: No, not again. I... why does it say paper jam when there is no paper jam? I swear to God, one of these days, I just kick this piece of shit out the window.
Michael Bolton: You and me both, man. That thing is lucky I'm not armed.

Wow, has this problem ever been revisited... no known good fix, and I've heard quite a few, except unit replacement.

If you come up with something, tell us, cuz there are probably a bunch of us that would like to know.
Don't take that toner with me!
