    Insufficient fixing

I have received two calls from same customer saying the first copy that they ran on two different days came out where the toner could be wiped off. Paper is going through copier 11x8.5. The copier in question is a Ricoh 1035. What I find interesting is the copier stays on to receive faxes from sleep mode and there is no problem with the faxes they say. Also with the same copier the transfer belt on front side of copier is not being cleaned properly. I have replaced the transfer cleaning blade twice. Today I replaced the transfer belt. For the initial problem listed above I replaced the fuser unit. Any thoughts
    Thanks!!

For the tx belt, you can add just a LITTLE bit of extra pressure on the middle of the transfer blade mount. I think there is an updated part that is quite a bit more reinforced, but the transfer belt streaking was a common problem. The minor 'reforming' of the tx blade mount has to be done very delicately, or you'll get really pissed off at the machine when it ends up streaking on the outside of the belt.

Ahhh, one of my favorite movies.

For t-unit problem check that the two metal rollers in the belt section are clean they normally get toner build up on the edges, this can also cause holes on the belt. Also make sure the waste is empty, sometimes toner gathers only at ends of the unit not triggering the waste sensor
