MPC 2500 web image monitor

Hi guys,
I have said machine displaying in the web image monitor that the black pcu needs replacing (its done 28k in the pm counter) and apart from actually resetting the pm counter which will falisfy its life, what do i need to reset? Cheers.

sp3902-009 resets the counter for the black pcu but you must power off the machine after you've reset the counter. ie: reset the counter in sp, turn off, replace part, turn on machine- conter reset

There may very well be a firmware update for this (see RB230020.) It doesn't mention the PCU, but it's worth a go and best practice anyway!

If all else fails, note the PM counter in the service record book, reset it and then add this value on to the new PM counter for future reference. Think of the warranty claim implications of that - score!!! Not that I condone such behaviour.

Aye, there is a firmware update for this one but the down side is you have to zero the pm counter for all units. A good idea if all your pm parts are up at the same time, a complete bitch if they aren't.

You can also turn of the maintenance indicator. I think sp5062.
