Lanier MP 3352 Scan to USB

    Hi,

Trying to Scan to USB. There are two USB ports on the side near the ethernet. I've tried both ports, however when selecting Store File, the option for USB does not appear.

In Web Image Monitor, under Interface Settings, both USB is Active and USB Host is Active. I cannot find any other USB options.

    Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Those aren't what those ports are for.
You can attach a USB keyboard back there, for example.

This machine doesn't have scan to USB capability

Because it is not turned on in SP settings. Open your Service Manual and tune to Section 2.27.2 the installation instructions for the USB2.0/SD Slot Type H. The image between steps 10 and 11 will show you which of the 2 slots to use and steps 15 and 16 tell you which SP settings need to be changed. You can then use a USB extension cable to bring the connection up to the control panel. If you have a USB to SD card adapter you can use it for SD cards.

Sandy, it doesn't come with one standard but does have an optional SUB2.0/SD card adapter. I have used the method I posted about with older models that had the option available. Had an instructor tell us about it.

          Thanks Tim.
Yes, I've seen a few of those installed.
I guess I should have just said it doesn't have " standard"capability, and this also appears to be an end user post, so I didn't bother getting into Sp modes
