[Misc] IM C3500 Scanning Quality Issues

    Hello,
I'm having issues when scanning gray colors from ADF and platten glass. I attached a photo to see the difference. The firmware is up to date. Did color registration and calibration. Checked voltages in the toner and they are in range. Top of the images is the original copy the bottom is the scanned copy. Any ideas what to look into would be appreciated.

I don't have a really good technical explanation for this, but sometimes I've noticed if a document is basically black and white, you often won't get a very good reproduction of the halftones when using 'auto colour' or 'full colour' scanner settings.

I promise you that it won't be blue if you choose "Grayscale" or B&W in scan settings, which it doesn't appear that you have bothered to try.

Yeah seems like auto color does make a different decision for that original depending if you use DF or glas plate.
I'm not 100% shure but there might be a setting to alter the threshold.

The sample also shows a lack of proper adjustment - why is there a border on the top of the page?
Looks like a bad side-to-side registration adjustment for DF that might also lead to issues like that
if the adjusted image area exceeds the paper width.

        Hello,

I forgot to mention this is a color document i just can't include the full document. I am only having issues with grayscale. I have multiple scans with different settings using auto color and full color and custom but they all come out off.
