    stripped gear.....

    Hi out there,
I have a low mileage 4503 in the workshop that seized the toner recycle auger in the drum unit, and stripped the white drive gear that sits in the main drive in the back of the machine.

Had a look in the parts catalogue, but typically, there doesnt appear to be a part number for the individual gear, just the whole unit (D149 1101)

Do any of you know if there is an individual part number for this drive gear?

    Thanks, Kind Regards Steve

You have to order the entire gear box unit.

      Hi Slimslob,
Yes, thanks for that - no surprise really, Ricoh have been going down the "complete assy" road for some time now. Bearing in mind it is just a plastic gear, it effectively writes the machine off, so much for all the "Green" claims and bunnies on their web site. I have a mate who has said he will pull the part from a scrapper for me so it will end well.

Thanks for your input, and make sure you keep back an old unit for parts!!!

      Kind Regards and Thanks
