    problem receiving pdf scans

    Good morning,
There is a problem with receiving scans by e-mail on a RICOH MP 3054.
The scans arrive on the mailbox, in two parts, i.e. two separate e-mails.
In the first message, the attached PDF is not readable.
In the second message, the body is a set of characters I don't know, maybe base64.
However it only seems to occur with scans with more than two pages.

Change email max size. Switch it off. (Should be under file transfer settings)

Change divide and send email. Switch that off.

      That should solve the problem

Divide and Send uses MIME and can only be received when your email server, POP or IMAP, know how to work together to reassemble the file. Normally Microsoft Outlook client on an in-house or organization Exchange Server.

More than likely the default maximum size for email is still very small, usually about a standard 3 or 5 page business letter. This is a fold-over from when dial-up SMTP servers had very low limits. Most email server now have limits of 20M or 25M with few as low as 10M. You need to know the limits of your provider and set the maximum to that value. And definitely turn off Divide and Send. Maximum Email Size Limits You Should Follow | Mailtrap Blog
