[Jamming] MP 5054 jams when copying, but not scanning

I have an MP 5054 that will scan to e-mail or folder with no issues. When the customer begins to make copies, the doc feeder will jam. Is there a SP mode adjustment for the doc feeder timing? Would there be a difference in the timing on scans and copies? I recently replaced feed rollers and this continues. Help?

It would help if you gave us a Jam Code. Not the letter code which is for users. The number code Jxxx.

This machines have the famous DF3090, like many other Ricoh machines. Try to update Firmware.....

As scan is fully functional there could not be any hardware issue. Hope it'll be solved after updating latest latest ARDF Firmware.

Still waiting for the jam code in order to tell whether it is a lead edge or trail edge jam.

I don't know about the 54s but some models run the motors at different speeds depending on whether in copy, scan or fax function. Scan is slower since it has to convert the data to either PDF or TIFF.
