[Misc] Anyone Know the RICOH Part # for VSSK9801 High conductive grease?

    Good day everyone,

I need to order some of this Ricoh
    High conductive grease

    .VSSK9801

Here is a link to the EU website which describes it but oddly list no part number or a way to place a order, I surmise that because I am logging in from a US ip I am denied that function: https://www.akblongs.nl/ricoh-europe/contents/en-us/p374.html

Thanks for any clarity, everyone have a great weekend.

It could also be that VSSK9801 is on licensed for sale in the US. Try using Yahoo and search for high conductive grease. I found a number of sources including Amazon. Read descriptions as both Yahoo and Amazon include multi-purpose and high temperature lubes in their listings.

That lube is for the gears.

VSSK9801 High conductive grease is used at the end of a Charge Roller or The Drum Drive Shaft to ensure a constant Ground or Charge Bias from the High Voltage Board.

        Thanks for the input.

For which models? It might give a part number in the service manual, part catalog or Product Support Guide.

I have checked the vast majority of SM's & PC's under section - SPECIAL TOOLS AND LUBRICANTS

            which list the following:

            Part Number Description
            A2579300 Grease Barrierta S552R
            52039502 Silicone Grease G-501

The topic that deals with lubing the ends of Charge Rollers or the Ground Plate in the rear drive ass'y that makes contact with the Drum Drive Shaft on say a MP201 171 161 or 151 is never addressed by a Service manual.

Thanks slimslob , have a good weekend.

Those are all entry level models that do not require conductive grease on the drum drive. They utilize a ground plate that presses against the end of the drum shaft. Now the Martinis do use a conductive ball bearing packed with conductive but Ricoh recommends replacing the drum shaft assemble instead of trying to repack the bearing. found that a paper clip make a ground contact touching the top of the shaft.

None the less & regardless I still need to order here in the USA the item listed on the Ricoh Europe site found at this link:

                https://www.akblongs.nl/ricoh-europe/contents/en-us/d52.html

Any help with that would be great.

Their image of the tube is rather small and lacks focus when expanded but it appears to be the same as this grease from Katun. The website I got the image from is Russian. It is a copper infused grease. You can create an account with Katun and download their catalog or search for another copper infused grease. There are a shit load of them.

                      Grease-KS660B P/N: D0149800 (currently out of stock)

If you buy it somehere else, make shure it's not the version without "B".

This conductive grease has been added as service tool back in the days for the MPC6000 and is still listed as service tool in many parts guides.
It often helped me to improve the image quality / unifomity if I added a little on the charge roller contact plates.

I also tried cheaper alternatives based of copper but would't recommend it for very little contact zones / moving parts.
In my opinion the viscosity of this stuff and the size of the conductive articles is too high/large, kind of like an old and parially dried toothpaste.

That part number tells me that it is for the MP C6000/MP C7500. The D014 service manual shows you where to apply the grease. It also says not to use it on the previous models. Its use is also shown in the service for the C6501/C7501. For the C6502/C7502 it is listed in the recommended tools only.

delosangeles, now do you see why I asked what model?

                          Interesting!

                          So it says : "
not to use it on the previous models."

My question is : What Lube should you use on the previous models?

                          Have a great day everyone.

That it will improve the image quality on any Ricoh Photoconductor Unit from aficio 270, 1027, MP4000 on up to current machines.

Never had a problem from from the Type 1027 PCUs or the previous PCU used in the 220/270.
