    SC 277 - SP 4510

    Hello everybody

    I have a problem on a Ricoh SP 4510 : SC 277-00.
    The manual say that :

    - LEDA communication error / The head type data was read three times in succession
    (277-00) : Defective ASIC - Defective LEDA
Turn the main power OFF and then ON - Replace the LED head

I changed the LED Head but it same... It's the BICU ???

    Have you an idea ???

Could be the ribbon cable that connects the LED head to the BICU, they are notoriously shit.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

Go with the ribbon cable first. A faulty BICU is probably more expensive than a new MFP unless you have a donator.
