Ricoh MPC2030 only works with RPCS driver?

I have a Ricoh MPC2030 photocopier. When I try to to network print but only the old RPCS driver works. On the driver website there are only have PCL drivers, they have removed the RPCS driver as its too old. Does this photocopier need special card to work with PCL driver? Thanks

What a dinosaur you have xD hahaha.
Most likely you have to enter WIN of the device to find what settings they have put on it. If I remember correctly this model is very "trimmed", and has a panel similar to the basic black printers, a tiny screen and limited options.

Yes it is quote old had it for 10 years but didn't get much use. I can install PCL driver but nothing get print out. The card slot is empty. Can you add ghost script to this machine? I need to find a SD slot card though.

I am looking at the manual and it seems that you need an SD for the Printer functions. The funny thing is that if you work with the RPCS...


Ok, I think that when the printer options were installed from the SD, they only installed the RPCS but not the PCL, a bit strange, or so I understand from the manual.

It seem PCL is optional but didn't comes with mine

I opened the metal covers on the left but there were no card in there. So unless the SD card is at another location. I saw some ghost script card on sale on AliExpress. The reason I didn't use the printer before was because the colour wasn't quite right even after making a custom ICC profile for it.

Who would buy it at the original price over a decade later Y_Y What is it actually? Is it a PCB board or SD card? Can you get ghostscript to work with out PCL?

SD card specifically for the C2030 which only supported RPCS.

It's obviously not listed for Windows 10/11 but that shouldn't matter.

I have found a manual from scribd.com it's for D007/D008 I think it is the same.

I have finally found the SD slots, both empty. If I can find a postscript card would it work with it without PCL?

Ricoh uses genuine PostScript so along with the Printer enhancement you'd also need a PostScript option as well to be able to use the language.

I think this is it then. The Printer Enhance Option have more things than I thought, may even include the harddrive also. How ever it's cost almost double of what I paid for this machine, so not really worth it, unless I know it would help the colour match to the screen display which I don't think it can. I think usually you need a rip pc for that.
