Have a customer that needs a desktop machine to replace POS MP301 and don't want to introduce another POS. Are these a decent box? Only two people hooked up to it and volume is about 30k/yr, so not overused. Just want something fairly reliable. Thanks

Re: IM 430F Opinions?
They are an alright box only if the customer thoroughly trained on the replacement of toner, the little wheel on the front of the tray and don't try and rag the PCDU out of it if it's sticking. Those LED heads are a PITA to replace. It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

Re: IM 430F Opinions?
These are a huge upgrade from the MP301.
The two things to watch for are to put a pin in the back guide of the tray to keep the paper from falling back in the tray and also make sure the customer is comfortable with changing the toner.
PCDU's easily hit yield, however the fuser will routinely not get to its expected yield.
I have a pile of these and love them. 30k a year, you likely won't see it much at all.Comment

Re: IM 430F Opinions?
Hello, could you tell me why you said the MP 301 was a POS? Leaking drum units? Leaking hoppers? I have had those issues. They improved the newer drums I think, they don't leak anymore that I have found. Hoppers last maybe 50K?Comment

Re: IM 430F Opinions?
PCU's and fuser rollers don't seem to last(using OEM's). Jamming in the fuser a lot, even with modified claws/holders. I didn't have a lot of them out but the ones that I did just didn't run well, especially compared to the older versions like the MP201, MP161, etc. Maybe I just wasn't good at tweaking them.Comment
