    Ricoh IS450DE Scanner Help.

    Hello all,
I have Ricoh IS450DE Scanner. Would anyone show me how to hook up this scanner. I connect the scanner by SCSI Cable to PC. I was download the driver from Ricoh Website which has 3 Drivers: ISIS, STI, TWAIN.

My question is what is the different between these driver? Is there any software use to scan on this model? and please show me how to make it work. Because right now, it doesn't recognized the scanner. Thanks

Load the TWAIN driver, and the scanner should show up in your Application. In Word you choose insert picture from scanner and pick the Ricoh from the list.

The TWAIN driver will allow most windows apps to use the scanner. ISIS (along with STI) allows some apps (i.e. DocuLex) to interface more directly with the scanner to improve performance, but only works over the SCSI interface and with ISIS aware apps.

One more thing I just thought of with TWAIN. It may not work over SCSI, as Ricoh uses network TWAIN. If you have an ethernet port on the scanner, you would most likely need to use that connection for TWAIN to work.

          Thanks for your information.
This scanner doesn't has Network only SCSI. I had this scanner without cable and software. Right now, I am looking for a SCSI card and cable. Also, what kind of software I need and where can I donwload it. thanks

            2. Fixed the defective resolution of the reverse face.
            3. Fixed discontent register waiting in the DMA interrupt process.
            Other specification changes
            4. Changed DMA bass control for both sides SiBC.

Note: If the programmer being used is from EETOOLS, visit their
web site and download the latest patch.
Also a scan tool (ScanProbe) is available.

VueScan is one of the best scanning applications available on the market.
