    IMC5500 Wifi printing

    Hi

Customer wanted to print on this model using the Wifi,
configured the IMC5500, searched for available wifi points and logged in.
so it says its connected with the right Wifi point, the same as the PC's connected to.

The IP adres is in the correct range, however, when installing the driver using IP it doesn't find the printer and can't connect.
Strange because when I ping the printer, using CMD, there is a connection, I get a good result !!

Trying to reach the printer through web-interface, it doesn't work, no connection.

why does the ping works but when installing the driver or try to connect to Web Interface it doesn't work . .
Do I miss an adjustment here?

    Thanks in advance

You have probably connected to the WiFi on the SOP which does not support full functions. It is more a diagnostic port. No direct connection to the engine. They either need to add Ricoh very over priced WiFi board and antenna for the controller or use a WiFi AP repeater and connect the IM to the wired port on it.

The Ricoh WiFi option is really overpriced, so we use the TP-Link TL-WR802N N300 wireless Nano Router. It can be easily attached to the back of the machine with double-sided adhesive tape and it will get the power from the USB Port of the machine. It's about $ 25 at amazon.com.
I don't care about who your father is, as long as I'm fishing here, you won't walk on water.
