Light scans? Have not gone yet, but expect dirty mirrors? Any other ideas? Have not worked on alot of scanners. Any help would be appreciated.

white level plate under left platen scale? if dirty can cause over compensation? -
Clean the mirrors, white reference plate and blast off the CCD lens assembly with a can of compressed air. I don't know if there is a method of calibrating the scanner because I've never seen one of these things.It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

These are calibrated at the factory, and generally speaking if there is an image problem something is wrong - usually dirty. If everything checks out you'll have to find a copy of scanprobe to do anything with the internal adjustments.73 DE W5SSJComment
