    Ricoh IMC series

i figured this out while i was in class last year for the IMC series. we were told we were the last class for that series. since this isn't a video nugget nor in the service manual. when you are working on the CCD for removal, for whatever reason. in order to remove the CCD there is an area that slots are cut out so you can lift it up and out, for replacement or whatever the reason might be. this is where you have to move the CCD in order the reach the screws in the removal process. but with how the CCD lays on the bar (i don't know the actual name off the top of my head) but the bar that the CCD moves across when scanning. my instructor noticed i did it different from everyone else. and he stated it was much easier that way. they were gonna make a video nugget. and i keep forgetting to make one myself. during the screw removal process. the CCD is gonna wanna raise up. making it difficult to continue removing the screw. i slide the CCD slightly back under the area that isn't slotted for removal. then slide it to the opposite side to get the 2nd screw out. i hope this helps someone with the process.
