You could always put in for a sales lead. A utax 1060/80 should do the trick, 500k guaranteed service intervals and Utax guarantee the drum for get this 4.8 million.... yes four point eight million. I recently serviced one with a maintenance kit on 522 k, it took me 45 mins - I swear, the whole lot is modular: fuser, transfer, m/c corona paper feed units the lot and not 1 service call since the day it went in.No wonder we move away from ricoh, can you imagine getting 522k out of an MP5500 or similar???

Now now, be fair. The Martini is a corking machine in the correct hands. A customer that knows how to work a machine correctly is a tech's best friend.

Anyway, back to the subject in question. The toner has started filtering it's way down to customers, however I haven't been to either model yet with the modified toner, so I don't know how it's affecting the issues.

Next time I visit one with the modded toner I'll post back.

B247 drum is rated for 1.2 Mill but I'm happy if it last 600K...for me it's a good no. considering that none of my customers are printing at 5% coverage
Pro 900 is the best color printer made by Ricoh but I won't dare to compare it with an iGen from Xerox.
