    Aficio 3035 sc 322,328 & 329

This came up for one of our junior lads today, so I went at it this afternoon. When you do the laser pitch adjustments and test patterns with all the adjustments it works fine, as soon as you come out of sp mode one of these 3 codes popsup, (predominantly 329). Any ideas, I'm leaning towards the diode unit, but it'sa dear part not to be 100% with

Haven't seen it on that model, but older versions had door interlock switch problems that would freak out the laser unit.
Don't take that toner with me!

Try a different laser or poly motor unit if door switches are good.
Also could be a bad contact for the LD unit ribbon cable.

I'd agree on the laser unit, I had a 3045 drown the laser unit in toner and take out the LD drive board.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

          Hit it.

try to replace first the interlock switch... if failed... the LD drive board.... and clean the machine.
fix the customer first then fix the machine... its simple and makes life more easy.

Just to post back on this, the machine was spotless so I replaced the LD unit, did all the necessary pitch stuff and it's perfect, cheers. Also thanx a lot to all who gave input on the FWU on mpc 2500- it worked a treat,,got rid of my sc, frozen screen and paper size mismatch
