    Ricoh MPC3300 and LCD Colour

    Hi All,

We've recently just run up a Ricoh MPC3300 and all was well. I hopped on to input the @remote request id via SP mode. This as far as i am concerned also went well. However once i rebooted the machine, the LCD panel colours were off. Instead of the blueish background, it is now black. The text is now white as opposed to black and the other buttons are a range of other colours.

To me, it sounds like the LCD panel has had a colour profile change. I dont remember accidentally changing a setting in SP mode while inputting the @remote request ID. So if anyone knows of where i can look in SP to get the colour profile back to original colours, it would be much appreciated. thanks in advance.

I wouldn think it is a bad LCD panel either as i can still see all buttons and all button still work on the LCD, just that the colour scheme is not the original.

I've not seen such a LCD problem before.

Almost sounds like it's switched to a high contrast mode for those with impaired vision. (but I don't think that is a feature).

You could try testing the LCD in the ' C 1 9 9 3 stop x5 ' screen diagnostic mode.
Or maybe try re-installing the ops panel firmware.

Also take the @remote settings off to see if the screen reverts.
This is a new one for me.
Of course I say that at least twice a week, even tho I've been doing this almost 40 years
