    Ricoh 1045 embossed prints

Please help us out on how we can remove the embossed prints. When you slide your fingers on the produce copy with text, you can feel that the toners are embossed. The following are the settings of the machine: 1) We use the
original toner - same result. 2.) We use compatible toner - same result. 3.) We change the whole development unit including its developer- same result. 4.) We try to replace whole PCU - same result. 5.) We replace transfer assembly - same result. 6.) We replace whole fusing unit -same result.
Is there anything we need to perform, adjust, or replace so that we can remove the embossed toner?
Hope you can give us a solution on this matter. All help will be appreciated. Thank you very much.

I would print out the 5990 SP modes and check all of your 1-xxx, 2-xxx, and 3-xxx settings. These will handle all heat, charge, laser, and dv bias settings. You need to make sure that all of these settings are sitting at factory spec. Maybe someone tweaked a setting and now you have that embossed feel with the toner.

You can make some adjustments to the charge, transfer, and dv bias settings to affect the amount of toner actually sitting on the paper, and you can get this to go away, but I would see where the settings currently are at.
