i know the code is a problem with the laser unit, which part is the question. do i need to replace the poloygon mirror motor or the whole unit itself? the machine comes to a ready state, makes one copy(that comes out blank), then codes out. thanx in advance

Probably not the motor , there is a different code for that, (320) This is a laser sync error, this is a tiny board on the edge of the laser unit, clean this first.

Thats the one. It has a photo reflector on it used to calibrate the laser beam. It is not responding to the laser. being so close to the toner supply, it gets dirty. It may also be defective.

Change the cooling fan at the rear left of the laser unit! it causes the motor to overheat, slow down and produce a laser sync error.
