    RICOH 2238

    Has anyone any ideas first why i would be getting light copies off glass on ricoh 2238 black new dev new pcu.seems to be common on all my 2238 mach we bought recond.print jobs are fine.

    Had same problem 2 weeks ago, replaced k dev, pcu to no avail. Eventually we did the firmware upgrade and all those laser pitch adjustments and it's been fine since, hope this helps

      hmmm

      well these were refurbs that firmware should have been done so w/o access to ricoh will have to guess as to if he put latest firmware on it thnx

        Seems to me, that if the machine is not in text mode, it is very light. I think there is something in the gooses guide, or tech bulletin somewhere.

          Did you clean the optics?
          the savin2535 is displaying well bet the hiter lamp is not shining and the lamp had been tested o.k.please kindly help.

            What a trusting soul.

            After you clean the optics, run the ACC. User Tools >Maint>ACC. This will optimize the optics to the engine.

              Based on information provided I can make an assumption that possibly "white color registration plate" could be dirty. First of all check it out is it OK (not dirty) cs it can make copies lighter due to wrong "TRUE WHITE" registration.
