double imaging on fax 2232c

everytime we recieve a fax on a 2232c, faxes are coming out as a double imaging making it look blurry. printing and copying are fine jus faxes. any ideas?

just changed the fax board and still the same. have also changed the fax cable and still the same.

connected it up to a different fax machine using the same cable and line and thats working perfectly fine.

so the faults definitly within the machine. i might aswell hang myself.

Noo! Don't hang yourself...yet

Have you tried SP 5-801-7 Clears the Fax Application only...it's worth a shot...you may have some corruption in the Fax firmware as well. Back up or print out any programed fax destinations. You will have to reprogram them as well as the phone number and name for the fax.

Does it do it when you print out a fax journal as well? It's not special paper either?

av not tried printing out the fax journal or cleared the fax application. but i will give it ago when im around that area. will also give the SP ago aswell.

customers using normal laser paper.
