    Ricoh 3228c

Hi I have a 3228c that we recently picked up from trade in. The authentication on the machine has been set and I am unable to do functions like setting the network settings changing the fax information and other miscellaneous admin stuff. I did find in the SP mode where I can set most of this information but we can't put this machine in the field the way it is atm. I was informed that the admin pw would be either the model number or the series number and the log in would be administrator but this does not work. I found a section in the sp mode that logs me in under service but this does not allow me to do anything either. I've been through the SP mode and I can't find any thing in there as far as reseting only the authentication if myonly route is a complete flash than so be it, but I probally overlooked something I'm more of a konica minolta/NEC guy. So anyone that could point me in the right direction would be much appreciated! thanks in advanced.

The default login is admin or administrator with no password. Press user tools/counter press and hold the "#" key on the number pad and then press System Settings on the touch panel to reset it back to default settings. This should allow you to change the network settings with out logging in.

Samir: No, not again. I... why does it say paper jam when there is no paper jam? I swear to God, one of these days, I just kick this piece of shit out the window.
Michael Bolton: You and me both, man. That thing is lucky I'm not armed.

You can also log in as Supervisor user (no password). Then you can change the Username & Password.
