Night (B064) and Day(B246) differences too many to list here. The MP6500/7500 is more like the B140 series (2060/2075). About the only things that are the same are toner, developer, df rollers and a few other small things.

the 5500/6500/7500 are much better imo.

I suggest you check out the attached product support guides....and get your hands on some manuals

Relax! This firmware injection won't hurt...but it will take 45 minutes.

I looked at the entire PM llist and with the exception of the fuser section ALL parts will run well in either including the drum. In fact you can get over a million copies out of a B246 drum in the 1075. You can run the 6500 web in the 1060 too and it will run a little longer. Both good machines. The 6500 has no duplex clutch. If they are well maintained both can get 300k between calls. Main advantage at this point is the 6500 is newer than the 1060 and the hot roller on it will last a little longer without cleaning. Also they seem to jam less than the 1075. If you set up a 1075 put the new drum in and web and make sure you change the dev bushings every third dev change and replace the duplex clutch every million copies. Plus I would put a new dev unit in no matter what at 3 million copies.

        Thanks
I appreciate the product support guides, and info.
i do have a 2075 out there too,no problems to mention.
I was concerned with the thin UFR on the 2075 fuser.but i guess
shorter warmup times were an sales issue.
Are they cleaner around the drum unit?

As long as you use OEM toner and do the PM on schedule the machines run quite clean.

Biggest problem I've had is developer leaking from dev unit onto paper feed assemblies causing jamming.
Don't take that toner with me!

              Martini design . . .

If this machine had tits and blond hair, I would marry it
We have lots of these machines and they all run VERY well.
Ricoh should just scrap all models from the MP5000 and down, and replace them with smaller versions of the Martini design.
A lot of the parts are the same, AND THEY WORK!
All models use the same toner and staples, which is good for us and the customers.

Most parts of the machine is easy to fairly easy to service. There are few service calls between every PM.
We've even had a machine that has reached close to 5 000 000 copies in a year.

The hot roller on the 1060 lasted a lot longer than the thin rollers on the newer models. Usually 500 000 - 900 000.

There are a few things that could have been made different, in order to make it easier to service, but I'm so pleased with the rest of the design so I don't care.

I've not heard the Savin 2575/4051/8055 etc big machines quoted as "Martini design" But hey I can totally agree with you. Best damn design. Not a ton of problems and EASY to work on for the most part.
