    SPc411dn no web server

    Dear friends,

I am having such a great deal with a ricoh printer SPC411dn that is not printing through ethernet.

The machine replies to ping, i can access it via telnet, but there is no access with Web Server (error 404), and no TCP printing.

I tried everything (even re-uploading firmwares) nothing happen. Any clue?

    Thanks a lot

    Vincenzo

Do you get an error at the workstation?
Do you have user codes turned on?

No, I don't get any error.
Even smartdevice monitor find the printer.

I suppose there is something disabled, but don't know what.
      diprint is ok
      lpr is on

via telnet the help command gives me a few clues, where can I get a full support for this procedure. It seems to be the only way to communicate.

      Thanks

          Things to try

Make sure SP 5828-091 has not been turned off (this will disable web browsing to the machine). If you print out a config page make sure there are no entries in the valid access address field should be all 000.000.000.000 ( may have an ip range set that alows/restricts access to the machine. Check IE browser settings go to tools, internet options, connections, lan settings, untick the use proxy for your lan settings options and try again. Failing that take note of all IP address details on the printer, do a NCS memory clear (Warning don't do a full memory clear unless you have backed up the nvram) which resets most network settings note but not the info in suggestion 2. Good luck

            Thanks to all of you

I figured out where where was the problem.
My colleague cleared NVRAM to zero counter.

By the way he was a bit smart and backed up original nvram so it was very easy to recover print functionality. Just upload again the eeprom.

            Thanks again..
