It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

Unplug the HDD and see if it comes up. Doubtful you have 2 bad HDD's (but possible) but a bad cable can also cause this

I had one where the SD card for print/scan function was bad. I removed it and the machine came to ready. Ordered a new one and I had it licked.

          Give it a go

Remove all SD cards turn on. Turn off and put SD cards back in and test.

Thanks for the helpful hints guys. I'll remember this in the field. Usually replacing the HD fixes it. Rarely is the controller bad. Had a bad cable once.

OK I had this with an MPC2500, same engine as the MPC3000....

You need to shim the fuser connector. i.e. add two or four washers to the connector on the fuser so that the connector goes into the machine further. I had this on 1 machine & eventually found the issue, because turning it off & on worked, but also opening the side door & closing it again also worked.

The fuser looses connection & the machine is waiting for it to warm up, but it never does. The machine doesn't call an error, because the door is still closed & the machine knows that the customer can pull the fuser out so it doesn't care thats its disconnected. As far as the machine knows the fuser is absent, but the door is still shut.

Open & shut the side door, if that fixes it, then this is your problem. I would suggest you shim anyway as we have done on all our machines. There was talk about a modified fuser with the properly spaced connector, but since our machines are now working I have had no further need to investigate.
