So you want a fail proof way to load dv on an Mpc6000/7500 ?

I have a ton of these in the field and like many of you grew tired of them not loading toner correctly and having to manually fill the dv units. After much trial and error I have found a way to do it successfully every time.

I want to say up front that since I have done this procedure it has worked every time. This is not in any manuel and just what I have discovered so therefore I take no responibiltiy if it doesnt work for you!

Now with that out of the way here is the fix....

    1. Make sure the power is off(main power).

    2. After the dv bottle is installed and the tape is off make sure the fan is plugged in and the blue transfer belt release lever is down. If there is pressure on the transfer unit it will fail to load more times than not.

    3. Close the front door.

    4. Turn the power on and wait for the double beep(very important), not just the "ready" light.

    5. Do SP 3814

    6. Confirm with SP 3815

    7. Important, Turn the copier off.

    6. Reattch toner hopper

    7. Open the front door

    8. Power on the copier and again wait for the double beep.

    9. Do SP 3811 for which dv you changed

    10. Do SP 3820-2

Feel great that it loaded properly and set up was complete!

Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please.

This is the correct standard procedure.
Even so...during 3814 if you are doing all 4 color at the same time ...one or more will fail....On my machines it looks like M and C are the best in doing this.
So to make this procedure perfect I suggest to add a small mention.
DO the dev fill color by color.
IF the machine stops during the fill in procedure...DO NOT PANIC. Reboot and start the procedure again for the same color...

That's like the description by the service manual and RTB

        4. Turn the power on and wait for the double beep(very important), not just the "ready" light.
That didn't happen in my recent case. Instead of showing and beeping the ready condition the machine asked to set up all toners properly and gave no permission to fill the developers. And yes, all dev units where empty..
