Hi ya'll.Has anyone had any problems with the HDD on the mpc 5000.I have a m/c only a couple of months old with low volume and is showing an sc863-06.The manual is saying hdd or controller.Ihave disconnected the hdd as a temporary measure so that the m/c works with limited fuctions but it seems a bit soon to need a hdd.

This does seem a little soon for a HDD failure, but not unheard of. You can always try to reformat the drive and reload firmware and see if it helps.

had the same error code on an mp5000along with scanning problems. machine was only in 2weeks in a low volume 'good' environment, had to change the BICU
