Disabling staple option in A1060, B469 Finisher

Hi, does anybody knows how to disable the staple function of a A1060 B469 3000 - sheet finisher? One of the steeping motor Driver is damaged causing jams everytime the machine is turn on, so if i disable it i think i will avoid this problem. I just triyed unpluging all the staple connectors from the main board but no luck, any idea? thanks

I'm not sure, but it may be possible to go into user tools and remove the stapling option from the display. Something to try.
On second thought, if you are getting an immediate misfeed indication this would not help.

Just to make up for my last worthless post on this subject, here is something better. Remove the finisher and stick on the 'ol exit tray as a temporary measure until you get your new stepper motor.

Hi mikadonovan, thanks for your answer, actually i did remove the finisher... Unfortunately the customer needs the sorter and it seems it will take a while to have the motor driver imported (not available in my country). So that is why my idea was to make it work without the stapler anyway.

Remove the drive belt from the moter or remove the gear. Should just get a code and possibly still have access to the finisher less the the staple modes.
