    1035 ricoh

    ok have issue tray three indicates full (is full) when copying with ardf error says add paper to tray three.tray three is full could it be the sensor is defective.?

    Well ask yourself this if you feed the original from the glass and select tray 3 what is your result if no problem.

    Then I would say look at the sensors make sure nothing is blocking them (paper dust,hole punch,staple etc.)
    B351 series ADF.

      b351 is correct and yes it does not do it off glass so will pull paper full sensors or just swap them all out have plenty sensors figure its paper tray full sensor.thnx for the input.hows the fishing?

        Is tray 3 set as the defualt? or are the other trays "locked out" (set to headed paper etc)?

        Is the machine asking to load a particular size of paper in tray 3 when using the ADF or just asking to load paper?

        If the answers to the above are yes, the problem could simply be with the metal contacts under the ADF side guides. If dirty these can cause an original size misdetection.
