Ok guys

I am using original parts only as we are the main distributor of Gestetner.

In the same room we have 4 of these machines same MP6500, 3 are working fine. and the power in my City is very good, we never use any regulator as the power in this city is prefect.

The issue here if we reset the code the problem will be solved and then maybe after 20 days it will come, I even interchange the entire fusing unit(full fusing drawer).

But you are having good idea stephend, could be user issue after removing the paper jam.

But then how to sort out this issue, if the user removing the paper in bad way, in that room there are 70 users?

Long...long time ago...when this industry was something not everybody was allowed to operate a copier...Machine Administrators & Machine Operators are no more positions in the companies organizational charts. This is one of the main reasons all the manufacturers start to loose money...and their names went to drain...
In the last 3 years... I replaced more plastic parts, metal gates, busted levers, thermistors....etc than anything.
The worst combination possible is stupidity + ignorance + bad paper....but in the same time is the perfect combination to keep us employed in this tough times.

yas, i have already thought about it, but the paper is 80 Gm, normal one.

today itsalf the customer log service call for the same issue, lat call for this issue was 2 of june!!

i am thinking now to change the switch on the font door, do you think it is going to help, in fact nothing left!!!

does it mean that this machine use a different paper type with regards to other 3 in the room sir ?

the thins here that i have tried all the TP, and then the same paper and same power been used for the other machines!!

today i have removed all connectors form Main board and I/O and PSU, and cunnecte it back, and then i have changed the new thirmostat with the new parts which is showing in the TP.
let me see maybe the problem will go.

Hi guys

One of my machines, MP6500. giving often SC542,SC541. I have changed every things related to this issue.
The problem is coming once in the month and some time once every three month, as well as I have upgrade all the firmware, but still same issue.

Any advice?

A couple of years ago I have had this problem on a Ricoh af 1060, the solution was to remove the PCU unit from the machine. Clean all the cabling with electronic spray, ID sensor, everyting you can clean in the PCU section. And the problem dissapeared, If you havent done it in a long time. Also change developer and do the procedures described in the service manuel.

Yes, all the fan are working fine,

you know the issue as i said the problem is not often once in the month or once every two months

I had one at a customer location doing the same thing. They had three in that room and only one was the problem child. Careful examination of the SMC Report showed that the SC code popped up at the same copy count as the jam. Led me to the fuser connector alignment.

I recreated the problem by gently pushing the fuser drawer in. It locked in place but tossed the SC. Giving the drawer a good firm push back into place and no code. Did this three times...always the same. I loosened the screws on the connector on the frame, pushed the drawer back in nice and firmly, tightened the screws on the connector and no more problems. Been 7-8 months now.

After trying KopyKat's suggestion as I think that is probably the cause & as a further process of elimination, could you swap the location of two machines to confirm its not an external power issue?

yes KopyKat's got the point now, , i was teling the sales manager about it but he did not agree with me.

This is users issue.

Have had similar problems with Tandem Trays in the past!

Quite possible this could be the fault!
