    MP4000 SC120

    Hi Guys

Ok im siting with a very funny one here
Mp4000 logging SC120 frequently this can be seen on the SMC printout some are logged on the SMC as SC120* and others just without the Astrix.
When I do a free run on the machine it all seems to be fine without any error codes.
I have updated the machine with Firmware and made sure the H/P sensor is working fine.

Just wondering if anyone have come across this one yet.

    Thanking you in advance

I had that same problem. Saw the lamp turn off immediately after turning on. But it only happen once or twice a day. I replaced the optics lamp with success.

We've had a few that have done this too. Replace lamp, lamp regulator and scanner drive motor. Seems to cure it.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

        Hit it.

            First lamp, second lamp regulator.
            80% is the lamp.
This is the first model from Ricoh with weird optical problems if the opics are dirty and especially the lamp. This new lamp that is has black on the back tends to attract way better dust in the black area giving all kind of weird patterns.
I had a call where customer reported a thick grey diagonal line on their copies. As soon as I cleaned the lamp...the line went away
