    ricoh 2022 printing issue

    customer network is okay with other brand printer, IP adresses are all okay, can ping ricoh, can print windows test page, customer can print, then all of a sudden no print, no ping, green processing light flashing. shut down copier. then it will or will not work but same thing where is my problem????any help would be appreciated

    more than likely its an issue with the print system on the copier... have you tried upgrading the firmware?? could solve your issue. also, it might have the same ip adress as another product on the network... try these things and if these dont work you'll probably have to replace the print system...

      Give this a go!

      If possible set your laptop up to the same IP address, subnet mask and gateway address as the printer. Remove the cable from the printer and plug in your laptop to the network. From the customers computer type ping "ip address of your laptop" -t. This should return a reply, let it run for a while and see if there is any no response errors which would prove they have a dodgy data point so that you can get out of there or move the machine to another port where another printer is attached and test.

        sounds like a defective port on the router/switch that the printer is plugged into. Reset to another port and try the aforementioned ping -t
