Gestetner MP 161 - Scan to Folder - HELP!

    Hi

I'm trying to set up a scanning to a folder on the shared drive via SMB. I can't seem to save the path anyway though, so each time have to enter the path and then a username and password of someone on the network.

Is there anyway that the path and username/password can be saved so everyone can scan to this folder with just the click of a button?

    Cheers

A one touch key can be setup in the address book which is located under the User Tools menu or can be accessed from a pc using the IP address of the machine.

Thanks - I can see the address book through the Web Image Monitor - do I set up a new user? I can't see any reference to a one touch key. Thanks.

Yes add a new user. You will have to login admin / no password.

OK added a new user but when I chose scan to folder on the machine I still have to type in the path first, then the username, then a password. Any suggestions?

Finish filling in the blanks for the user you created. Go back and edit/change the desired user. Fill in the blanks for the path, username and password in the SMB or Folder area. You can skip the stuff for the email, fax, etc. Be sure you 'apply' the settings before you leave the page.
