Yeah the manual isn't very helpful there is it

Could a failing Developer Clutch Cause problems like this? Doubt it, just throwing it out there.

          OEM toner or aftermarket crap?

If it's OEM I would at least test a different DV unit.

Relax! This firmware injection won't hurt...but it will take 45 minutes.

            poor yellow

i'm with kopykat. if using "oem" toner is time to go back and replace dev unit (yellow) if drum unit is worn why not replace this too. these units are both vary reasonable compared 2 some iu's. make sure you "recalibrate "when u change them. there is a "sp procedure" for each!!
            good luck!!

I'll put my money on the developer too. And don't forget to flog the other tech for not keeping up with the maintenance records - SOOOooo...CRITICAL to figure out what is wrong when one of these decides to go toes up with an oddball problem.

I know some companies require techs to make notes on a sheet that is kept with the machine. Unfortunately we've had the sheet disappear too many time due to office employees wanting to read it or competitors getting their paws on it. So whats on the work order gets transferred to a database that is attached to the next work order next time a tech is out.
