    RICOH 2232C fusing oil low

Its really odd why I'm getting alot of Problems and calls about this printer RICOH 2232C.

I just went to a site and they where getting an fusing oil low so, I changed it and replaced it with a brand new one.

Now it keeps giving me the same error message that "fusing ioil is low" even when after I changed it.

I have opened it and made sure the contact was clean and took it out, placed the unit back into the copier and still the same problem.

not sure what else i should do, has anybody else have this issue

    thanks

Fusing oil low is a counter thing. The new oil supply unit should have reset the counter and then blown a fuse unless the os unit was used or somehow the fuse was already blown. Try another unit. or change the spec in 7905-14.

There is an sp setting for adding fuser oil called 'fuser oil add' butI cant remeber it off the top of my head. This will clear your error

You dont reset the counter, the new os unit does. You can try 7904-10, that is the pm counter for os unit. I dont think it'll reset the message, only the pm counter. I think you have to replace the os.
7905-14 allows you to reset the number of copies to make after the message and before it stops the machine.

You're thinking of the 1224c, it uses a bottle of oil.
This machine uses an oil supply unit that comes with oil loaded.

              I stand corrected, my apologies.

                  Hello JJLTI,

For the "fusing oil low" message, you may try with this action:
In SP mode go to the SP -5-994-002 (Unit detection ON/OFF : Oil_Suply_Unit) and set to DISABLE.
Tray to print some job and after that you can set the same SP to ENABLE.
I think that this action will help you to solve the problem.

                  Regards

check machine is resonably level, can result in numerous requests for oil units, check for traces of oil in lower parts of the machine
