We have the opposite here in the south - there are times when you can almost wring moisture out of the paper.

The worst was an office where the boss would crank the A/C down to where you could hang meat (seriously, the thermostat only went down to 60F and would have been lower if he could) then turn it off and open the windows at the end of the day to save on the electric bill and air out the office (he was a 2 pack a day smoker)

The machine would get nailed twice - once when that wonderful Mississippi humidity hit the ice cold machine, and again when the sun went down and all that humidity condenses out of the air. There are some mornings things are so wet and drippy it looks like it rained.

Needless to say the tray heaters didn't quite cut it.

So glad I've not experienced this in Texas. We get lots of humidity though. But never have had to install tray heaters.

Copying seems fine, but when the customer Prints a photograph for example the quality is very washed out, its hard to explain but its not quite dense enough, almost like slightly damp paper (which is not the problem) .
Machine is fully serviced and calibrated, all test prints look fine.

I swaped another fuser unit into the machine and problem remains.
I disconnected the machine from the customers network and printed using my own laptop and a good crossover cable.
        I removed the laser shutter.
        I swapped over drum units.
All firmware is upgraded and up to date.

Returning tomorrrow to swap out the print controller from a working machine .

        Any ideas?
How did you get on with this?
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change.

          Controller board

Apologies for not replying until now and thanks for all the suggestions.
The problem turned out to be a faulty print controller board.
Replaced the board and the problem dissapeared.

Ricoh dealers don't pay for machine training over here!

Watch out on the ACC if all trays are set to mid thick due to using 100gsm paper. It won't allow you to do the printer ACC. Just set the top tray to normal temporarily.

nope - only on software or IT courses.

You need to get a credit raised if you are a dealer being charged for hardware courses.
