I just set up a Ricoh 1106EX with all bells and whistles including the Perfect Binder. If you set up a job to trim three sides at .25 and have less than 30 sheets 8.5 x 11 LEF duplexed, no problem making the booklet. If you set up the same job and place 100 sheets duplexed the binder trims .75 off the top and .75 off the bottom and 1.75 off the fore edge making an A4 booklet 7" x 9.25".All sides are cut perfectly.Newest firmware has been installed. This happens whether you are using the Micropress or copying thru the adf. First time i have encountered this mechanical glueing and chopping beast so i am unfamilar with the quirks. Any suggestions?

Call support and open a ticket. I've seen the binding from that attachment and it's very impressive, however it's brand new and there are sure to be some kinks that need working out. Hopefully an engineer can get involved and provide a solution in firmware.
Speaking of firmware, update it before you call. That's the first thing support will ask you to do.Information is intended for certified service personnel only. Your mileage may vary, see dealer for details. -
I have the 1st of those units actually placed in a customer location, so I guess I'm the guinea pig. Sucker is built like a tank and makes a top quality book. Mechanically it's tough as nails, but the service mode REALLY sux - dip switches, micro switches, and flashing LED's. Any internal error will put it in "low performance mode" which is just a bypass mode - no binding, and you have to hit those switches in the right order while hopping on your left foot at a 12 degree angle to the sun...
Never have seen the kind of problem you're having. Odd.
Did you download the firmware from TSCWeb? FSD/DSD has been bad lately about having old versions.
Only other thing I can think of is the machine sets the trim size based on the tray size - make sure the tray is set for the exact size paper loaded.
Ricoh's Pro Binder school is really helpful since this is a totally new beast.73 DE W5SSJComment
