DF Jamming AF1075

Hi All,
Having problem with df jamming in af1075 jamming is intermittent (jams every 10-15 copies).Ive done the usual stuff replace belt seperation/pick up roller and cleaned transport rollers.Was wonderng if it was one of the drive shafts or the stepper/drive motor but wanted some feedback ive never had any of these fail.Anyhelp is much apperciated.

If it stops just after feed, check the center rubber transport roller behind the feed section. I have had a few where this roller spins on the shaft (not real obvious). Super glue will fix it, if that's the case.

If you see Document tray moving up and down, then replace Document Set Sensor under the tray.

Dirty ADF sensors commonly cause intermittent jamming on Ricohs. Clean ALL of the sensors in the ADF + the areas opposite the sensors which may also accumulate paper dust which can trick the sensor into "seeing" it as a sheet of paper that is not really there.

Lift up the ADF and unscrew the bottom left side press roller plate to get to one of the sensors, and make sure to clean the cutout which it 'looks' at on the press roller plate side (use blower brush).

I've seen something like what Star said also, but it was the drive wheel for the 5 or so large feed in rollers (you have to remove covers to get to it), and it had splines that strip out so it doesn't drive the roller shaft anymore. but it usually won't feed at all when that happens.

A couple of things to check. As in the previous posts, make sure your sensors are clean. Also, look at the plastic one-way bearing that the rear of the primary feed assembly shaft fits into. I have had these crack causing the type of misfeed you have described.

Also replace the one-way drive roller for the feed belt.

There are a couple of sensors, I think a registration sensor in the left jam clearance door. When you open the door to clear a jam, look very closely at sensor. In addition to the sensor, also clean the black felt that it reads. I've seen either the sensor or the black felt covered with a lot of paper dust.

2 Inches to the left of feed belt and sep roller. 3 rollers on a shaft. The middle one is wider and rubber. That's the one.

Problem solved one way roller which sits under the belt was the culprit.
