problem with printing P/word doc's

Hi all,

I have a problem with a protected word doc that was biuld for HP,
my customer can not print this file on his new MPC (2050) Diana.
the problem is tha he can not change the doc. settings and the machine is asking for A4 landscape on "manual feed table"

Now we have a aplication for this problem but is to expensif!

who has some tips!

PCL 6 Drivers have option to Select Original Document Size and Print to Size. Just tell the Driver its originally A4 and you want it Letter or whatnot.

I think this is a classic M$-Office problem - there's a setting for paper size and tray selecting inside office. These settings gets embedded into the document and have a higher priority than the printer driver settings.

I'm not quite shure how it's called in other languages - must be something like "setup page" inside the "File" conect menu. Mage shure the format size is correct and switch the tray select to "printer default".

If the WORD doc has been protected then you do not have access to change its embedded page set up options. From the print driver select the Document Server, give it some details. On the copier's Doc Sever, select the file, and the paper source and print.... This has worked in the past to get around the M$ Office options priorities.
