Ricoh Aficio 1027 document feeder multifeeding

    Hi,

I have a 1027 that doesnt seperate properly throught the DF.

I have changed the pick up tyre, feed belt, sep roller, torque clutch and drive gear with the one-way bearing in it and cleaned the drive shaft etc.

It feeds fine for a few copies, then for no reason, it pulls a batch of originals through at once and jams.

I have told the customer to fan the paper especially when it has been stapled or hole punched but it still fails to seperate even plain paper.

As a temporary measure I have made the reverse roller constantly drive instead of slip by stripping the torque limiter and taping it up solid but it would be nice to get the thing feeding correctly.

    Any advise welcome.

    Thanks in advance....

Already replaced the separation pad (A859 2315)? Located next to the reverse roller.

Thanks Eric, Just to let you know what it was, when I had replaced the feed belt in the past, the holder for the belt was put in upside down. Took it out, turned itt over and no problems since! Cheers.

Too funny, I've seen that before, followed up on a rookie tech callback (honestly, it wasn't me) and found the belt holder upside down!
Don't take that toner with me!
