2045/2035e LCD screen/panel

Has anybody out there ever changed an lcd from the 2045 to the 2035e? I have just done it and I've lost half of the functions in user tools. Spoke to ricoh and they tell me it's the same part no. for 2035/45/35e. Any info or advice would be greatly appreciated, thanx in anticipation. ( Hope my English is ok for the high and mighty ones on the immaculate council).

I don't think the touch screen caused the menus to disappear. I have changed from a 2035 to 1224 without any problems.

They were on the old lcd with no backlite, barely visible, but there.

Apologies, i just put the old lcd with no backlite and I have the same problem. ie no counter option when I press123 key, no doc features key etc, only an empty box!!!!

well i would try reconnecting connectors.look at ribbon connector maybe
