Sorry to bring up this (apparently stone age) old machine, but I'm tackling a problem that I'm not sure of what the causes are.
The machine was repaired some time ago from dark copies - it was the exposure lamp that wasn't giving enough light.
When delivering the machine, I noticed some dark spots (like toner clouds - blue circles on the attachment) and I assumed it was because the machine was stopped a long time and on top of that it's in a basement. So I told the customer that it would probably go away with the use, and off I went. This was a month or so ago.
Now the customer calls and tells the copies are dirty. Since it was already a month since I were there, I assumed this was a new problem - it wasn't. The customer just waited for someone to go there (a salesman, in this case) to complain about the problem.
Now, besides the "toner cloud", it's doing some marks that look like the ones you get when the drum is damaged (red arrows), but the drum is fine (at least it doesn't have any marks) and the marks don't repeat from copy to copy - they're completely random.
Anyone can explain me what is causing this? I'm more experienced with Konica machines and I never go something like this.
Cheers!
