MPC2050 Auto tray switching

I am working on a few issues I am having with an MPC 2050 - I cannot get the machine to stop auto tray switching when printing even though it is turned off in the settings.

Are you referring to the auto tray select option on the printer driver or the auto tray switch option on the MFP panel ?

Problem is when the customer is printing to the machine, i have changed the setting on the op's panel, can't see a setting on the print driver to change.

Does that mean you have gone into User Tools,system settings,tray paper settings and turned off auto paper select on each tray. If so there should be a key symbol on each tray on the copy screen.

I should of said make sure you leave one tray on Auto select otherwise you will have to select a tray every time.

If you are printing from Word, it doesn't matter what is set on the machine or printer driver as Word's own page setup will override them.

Can you confirm? The problem is with Auto tray SWITCHING (Tray 1 runs out, feed switches to tray 2) Not Auto Tray SELECTION (Machine goes to default tray)?

I would imagine the machine would lock out trays if disabled in "switching" (Key display on locked tray)... But you would have to manually select the desired tray via the driver to prevent "Auto tray selection"

The problem is sorted - had to go into each tray in user tools and turn of auto paper select. it's working now. cheers for all the help.
