Ricoh Aficio 270 Keep Asking For Add Toner

I have a ricoh aficio 270 which keep showing the add toner after doing 100 pieces of fotostating.

a ) I already changed the motor which turned/ moved the toner bottle but was still showing me the same signal . ( Add Toner )

    b) I also changed the drum unit , toner unit and the mother board / main board and still showing me add toner signal after doing 100 pieces of photostating.

Can any experts share with me the ideas of overcoming this problem because i am very confuse ???

    Thanks...

Pull out the toner hopper and check/replace the "cover" (item 9) as listed in the parts catalog.

IOW, make sure the hopper is feeding toner to the pcu. The mylar 'fingers' pop off and end up not feeding any toner.

Opps, you said you already replaced the toner unit.

Have you monitored the TD level in SP? Does it change if you do a forced toner add? Does toner actually come out of the toner hopper into the dev unit? Does the developer drive turn the mixing rollers. Check if the toner is being distributed in the dev or just piling up at the entrance.

At this point you are going to need to actually isolate where the problem originates since you've already thrown a bunch of parts at it.

    1. Does the toner feed into the dev entrance?
    2. Does it get mixed by the augers?
    3. Does the TD sensor register changes to the TD level?

Answer these three questions, then you can narrow down the problem.

      Wrong toner

I have had those where when you push the toner hopper handle down it doesn't the jaws don't grab the cap in the bottle. I would make sure the cap is getting pulled out when you lock the handle down.
