Reseat all the connections on the BCU board. Swap it out if still fails.

Dunno what an LD433 is, could it be an LD533? It's the only model I see near it.

Anyway, as with the 99% of the new Ricoh's, 670 is probably a duff HDD or controller board. That's your first stop.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

      Hit it.

I am helping on support for this machine locally.
It is an LD 433 or a D019 with no HDD. Just a base model.
Tried firmware and machine still wouldn't boot.
Swapped controllers, IPU board, power supply and BCU.
My question is, are the eeproms machine or board specific?
I can pull them out of another machine but don't want to keep chasing my tail if they won't work in a different machine.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

Reply to problem with LD433B that had SC 670 code. The EEprom on the sbu board was the problem. Thanks for the help
