giving me light copies, replaced developer, calibrated and worked fine for about a week now light copies again. went back today and there is a developer spill at the back end of the machine all the way down through the duplex unit and into the paper trays. going back with another developer unit and fresh developer but is the drum pulling the devloper out of this unit. should i go back with a new drum too. or is there some grounding i'm missing. thanks t

Also, when you pull the dev unit check for wear / rust on the contact pin at the rear end of the mag roller. If worn you need to replace the receptacle in the rear frame, it has a very small bearing which wears very easily, this could cause bias problems and toner / dev depletion.

If you change the receptacle scratch around the unit with a sharp point before removing as this is factory jigged and alters the distance between the dev unit and drum.

Have a good clean out around the back of the machine, if you get dev on the feed staions it's a world of hurt!
